Practical Carry for the Average Hooman

Practical Carry for the Average Hooman

This class is designed as a bridge between the basic LTC class covering the do’s and don’ts of carry law, and the full NRA CCW class. In this class we address the various different methods of carry as well as factors that go into selecting both a firearm and ammunition to carry.

In this class we will cover different types of carry ammunition including a demonstration in ballistics gel; the true meaning of the 21 foot rule, including a demonstration; the implications of carrying with and without a chambered round; and the considerations for different types of action your firearm could have.

This class costs $150 and requires students to bring two boxes of ammunition and at least 2 snap caps with their firearm.  Revolvers larger than .38SPL and semiautomatics larger than .45acp are not permitted (though .38SPL may be used in a .357MAG revolver).
